As a Killeen ISD new hire, your benefits begin the first of the month following your hire date. All questions regarding benefit start dates can be answered by the Employee Benefits Office.

Employees are able to make changes to their benefit elections during Annual Enrollment.This is the only time that employees are eligible to make their benefit elections outside of a Qualifying Event.

A Qualifying Event is an event that makes a change to your health care status. Some examples are marriage, divorce, or loss of coverage. All qualifying events must be completed within 30 calendar days of the event and are specific to the event.
