COVID-19 Vaccine
In Killeen ISD, we are committed to mitigating COVID-19 to promote the health and safety of our staff by providing free COVID-19 vaccinations to our staff including KISD substitute teachers. The district does not require employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. KISD will continue to support employees who have shown interest in receiving the vaccine.
What COVID-19 vaccination is provided?
This program offers the Pfizer vaccine.

- Completed and Signed Adult Consent Form
Important Notes
You can receive the Pfizer vaccine if you:
- Are 30 days past discharge from hospital admission for COVID 19 and completely symptom-free (no cough, fever, lethargy, diarrhea)
- Are 10-14 days past positive COVID (never hospitalized with the illness)- completely symptom-free now (no cough, fever, lethargy, diarrhea)
- Have had no vaccines in the past 14 days
- Have spoken with your physician concerning any chronic illnesses or severe allergies and your physician has given you clearance to receive the vaccine
If you are wanting your second dose, it must be at least 21 days since your 1st dose and you must present your vaccination card.

Who is eligible to get the vaccine?
- Any Killeen ISD employee, including substitutes.
Can my spouse or other family member(s) also receive the vaccine?
- No, this opportunity is only available for Killeen ISD employees.
Who is giving the vaccine?
- The vaccine will be administered by KISD Registered Nurses.
What vaccine is going to be administered?
- The Pfizer vaccine will be administered.
Will I be allowed to take time off from my job to get vaccinated?
- Yes. Any employee who wants to be vaccinated will not be required to clock out to receive the vaccine.
