Purchasing Services is a customer service organization responsible for the facilitation and maximization of the educational process by procuring, receiving, storing and distributing goods and services that provides the best value for the District.
Purchasing Services consists of four branches:
- Distribution Center
- Print Shop
- Property Management
The mission of Purchasing is to get the best value for the District within the guidelines of the law. Purchasing must comply with state and federal laws, TEA policy, Uniform Commercial Code, School Board and local policies.
Factors considered in determining the best value include:
- Reputation of vendors' goods or services
- Quality of vendors' goods or services
- The extent to which the goods or services meet the districts needs
- Vendors' past dealings
- Long term cost to the District.
The Purchasing Department has a staff of 8 personnel.
