Killeen ISD Students' Artwork Shines Bright On 2024 Holiday Cards

Three talented middle school students from Killeen ISD have been selected from across the district to have their festive artwork featured on the district’s official holiday cards. These beautifully designed cards will spread holiday cheer to community members, state and local representatives, former Killeen ISD administrators, and more.

“This annual contest is a fun way for us to showcase the talent of our young artists,” Karen Rudolph, executive director of communications and marketing, said. “We are so proud of the students who submitted entries and to their art teachers who support their creativity year-round.”

Earlier this week, members of the Board of Trustees recognized the winners and presented each with a framed version of their artwork and a bundle of their cards to share with family and friends. This year’s winners include:

  • Gabriella Fox, a seventh grader from Nolan Middle School. She created a heartwarming design featuring a family of penguins and poinsettias ready for the holidays.
  • Zaylah Reeves, a sixth grader from Liberty Hill Middle School. She portrayed a reindeer adorned with red ornaments.
  • Laylah Russ, an eighth grader from Nolan Middle School. She captured a gingerbread house nestled in a forest of Christmas trees, complete with a peppermint sidewalk.
