Killeen ISD to Live Stream Varsity Team Athletic Events Through Hudl Fan
Killeen ISD is set to expand its accessibility, broaden its brand and widen its audience by offering fans of multiple sports a new way to watch their favorite varsity teams and players in action during the 2024-2025 season through the free live-stream platform Hudl Fan.
“We’ve been able to work and partner with Hudl and are maximizing existing resources so that we can attract attention to the great things that are happening in KISD athletics and, therefore, grow our fanbase through this spotlight on all of our student-athletes,” KISD executive director for athletics Matt Carroll said.
Love Killeen ISD athletics but can’t make it to an event because of a prior engagement? Have family out of state? Always on the go but don’t want to miss a snap, spike, swish, swing of the bat or scintillating goal? Want to relive special moments and share the memories with those who couldn’t attend?
“Hudl” up. The solution is here.
Not only will home games and matches –– and some select away contests –– involving varsity team sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, wrestling, and track and field be streamed live and then archived for later viewing, this endeavor will feature team-specific pages that will guide fans toward following the teams they want to keep track of as the season rolls along. The site also will have schedules and a list of upcoming events. Live streams are contingent upon coaches entering their schedules.
“This is great for our community. It’s great for our families. Not everyone is able to get out and go to the gym or the field to watch their kids, grandkids, nephews and nieces. So having an opportunity to keep up with the sports in this manner is a fantastic option,” KISD executive director for athletics Latisha Williams said. “Fans will be able to see more often the hard work our student-athletes pour into their sport.”
There are multiple ways to find the Hudl Fan. Just search Hudl Fan from a computer or mobile device, visit https://www.killeenisd.org/athletics and click “KISD Hudl Fan Site”, or simply type in www.killeenisd.org/hudl. A direct link is also available here: https://tinyurl.com/ypt7jvdx.
Additionally, the Hudl Fan app is accessible through the Apple and Android app stores and compatible with smart TV devices such as Roku TV, Apple TV, Android TV and Amazon Fire TV.
“We are offering our community a way to get involved with all of our sports,” Carroll said. “We are proud of our student-athletes and want to showcase their hard work.
“Family and friends across the country have an opportunity to tune in and not miss anything,” Carroll added. “We are connecting people from all over to KISD athletics. I’m excited for our fans, community and student-athletes.”
