Harker Heights High School's Choir Ascends to State Honors

Harker Heights High School’s Varsity Mixed Choir has been chosen and invited to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association’s (TMEA) state conference in February 2024. Being an invited vocal ensemble is the highest honor a high school choir to achieve within the State.

This ensemble, under the direction of Spencer Wiley and Amber Moon, is one of only two choirs selected statewide.  This is the first time in 24 years that a high school ensemble from Killeen ISD has been invited to perform.

It is undoubtedly one of a music ensembles greatest achievements and one to which all directors aspire.

To be selected, choir directors must submit recordings from at least two previous years and the current year to demonstrate consistency of quality.
The Master Singers will perform at the TMEA conference in February of 2024 which is expected to draw over 30,000 music educators and students.
We are very proud of these students and their fantastic representation of Killeen ISD and the Killeen ISD Fine Arts department!

Congratulations! 2024 TMEA Invited Choirs
