Killeen ISD is inviting students, staff, families and community members to help name the district’s future central administration building, set to open in 2026 at 777 N. Twin Creek Drive.
The Killeen Independent School District is welcoming a veteran of the United States Air Force with 15 years of school transportation management experience as its next executive director for transportation services.
The Board adopted a property tax rate of $0.8758 per $100 valuation for the District for the tax year 2024, to be assessed and collected by the duly specified assessor and collector as follows: $0.6682 for the purpose of maintenance and operation, and
$0.2076 for the purpose of payment of principal and interest on debts.
Such taxes are to be assessed and collected by the tax officials designated by the District.
THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.
