Killeen ISD is excited to unveil its redesigned website, crafted with families and student success in mind.
The updated, user-friendly platform launched Friday, July 18, expanding the district’s communication reach and enhancing the online experience at both the district and campus levels. While the site is now live, ongoing updates and refinements will continue through the start of the school year.
Designed for easy navigation and ADA compliance, the new site ensures every user — regardless of device or ability — can quickly access the information and resources they need. With a consistent, streamlined layout across all campuses, families now have equitable access to tools that support student learning and success.
A key highlight is the introduction of a 24/7 AI-powered chatbot, launched on the district website in July and expanding to campus websites in August. This intelligent assistant provides real-time answers to common questions, helping families, staff and community members stay informed anytime, anywhere. Importantly, the chatbot also gives the district insight into what families are searching for most, allowing KISD to continuously improve content, address concerns and strengthen its commitment to transparency and responsiveness.
“The new website is more than just a fresh design — it’s a commitment to making sure every family, student and staff member has the information they need at their fingertips,” said Karen Rudolph, executive director for communications and marketing. “With tools like the AI assistant, we’re not only improving access, we’re listening and learning so we can continuously improve the way we serve our families.”
The website redesign reflects Killeen ISD’s broader communication goals: giving families easier access to tools that help support student success; supporting staff and campus needs; deepening public trust through clear, consistent updates; and strengthening the KISD brand as a district focused on innovation, excellence and connection.
