Two Killeen ISD students — representing Nolan Middle School and Nolanville Elementary School — were selected to participate in the 2025 Lone Star Leadership Academy in Houston/Galveston this past summer.
BreAnn Craig of Nolan Middle School and Rebecca Hall of Nolanville Elementary were among 713 outstanding third- through eighth-grade students from across Texas chosen for their leadership ability, academic achievement and community involvement.
During the weeklong overnight camp, students strengthened leadership skills, explored career paths and experienced Texas history at sites such as NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
“Killeen ISD is proud of BreAnn and Rebecca for representing our district with excellence,” said Interim Superintendent Dr. King Davis. “Their achievement is an example of the leadership, determination and potential we see in so many of our students. We know these opportunities will help prepare them for future success and inspire their peers across the district.”
