The Killeen ISD Board of Trustees on Tuesday approved three Campus Turnaround Plans required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for Eastern Hills Middle School, Palo Alto Middle School and Manor Middle School.
Turnaround plans are required when campuses receive consecutive “unacceptable” state accountability ratings. Each plan outlines specific strategies to improve student outcomes through interventions such as staff adjustments, enhanced professional development, curriculum refinements, and, in some cases, a modified school day or restart model.
The plans are available at www.killeenisd.org/turnaroundplan, along with online surveys where parents, staff and community members can provide feedback. Final plans must be submitted to TEA by Nov. 14.
