Twenty-two Killeen ISD student-athletes saw their dreams realized Wednesday and they most definitely celebrated accordingly.
Chaparral, Ellison, Harker Heights and Shoemaker hosted friends, family and many, many more, at four signing day ceremonies in which the nearly two dozen Killeen ISD kids shared their commitments to continue their education and athletics at the collegiate level.
Each event was unique to the school –– cheerleaders, drum lines, heartfelt speeches, photo opportunities, popcorn, cupcakes, high-fives and hugs –– though each were rooted in showcasing the importance of producing the right mix of talent and skill with hard work in and out of the classroom, coachability, discipline, decision-making and perseverance.
