Third Future

Parents and students have two opportunities Tuesday, June 11, to attend a Third Future Schools meet-and-greet and registration event at Manor Middle School.

From 9 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., parents can meet Principal Dennise Wooden, Third Future Schools Central Texas Director Jeremiah Willis and Deputy Superintendent LaToya Miley, ask questions, gather information, and complete Killeen ISD student registration for the 2026-2027 school year.

Earlier this year, the Killeen ISD Board of Trustees approved Third Future Schools as the 2026-2029 Texas Partnership operating partner for Manor Middle School.

Under the Texas Partnership model, Manor Middle School remains a Killeen ISD campus. Third Future Schools will manage the day-to-day operations of the campus, while Killeen ISD will provide oversight and hold the operator accountable to expectations. The partnership is intended to accelerate academic improvement and strengthen student outcomes.

Third Future Schools will focus on developing students' critical thinking, problem-solving and real-world application of learning across all subject areas. This work will be enhanced through the integration of TFS's Dyad Program, which emphasizes the development of knowledge, perspective and experiences through academics, extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.

The first day of school for Manor Middle School is Aug. 4. Other Killeen ISD schools will start on Aug. 17.
