Baylor Educational Benefits for Killeen ISD Educators

Killeen ISD employees will have new opportunities to pursue advanced degrees and professional credentials through a collaboration with Baylor University’s Moody School of Education.

The new partnership provides Killeen ISD educators and employees with streamlined access to Baylor graduate programs, along with scholarship opportunities for eligible programs. Programs are available in online, hybrid and in-person formats, providing options for employees who want to continue their education while working full time.

“Creating opportunities for our employees to grow benefits our students and strengthens the future of Killeen ISD,” said William Baker, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. “This collaboration with Baylor University creates another pathway for our educators to grow professionally, strengthen their leadership skills and pursue advanced degrees while continuing the important work they are already doing in our schools. We want talented educators to continue to see Killeen ISD as a place where they can build a career, grow as leaders and make a lasting difference for students.”

Graduate Programs and Scholarships

Through the collaboration, Killeen ISD employees can explore graduate programs through Baylor’s Moody School of Education in areas including educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, educational psychology, learning design and technology, school psychology and more.

Scholarship opportunities available to Killeen ISD employees include:

  • EdD in Learning and Organizational Change Leadership

    – Online; exclusive 8% priority enrollment scholarship

  • EdD in K-12 Educational Leadership

    – Hybrid; standard 50% scholarship; can lead to Texas superintendent certification

  • MA in School Leadership

    – Hybrid; competitive scholarships available; can lead to Texas principal certification

  • MS in Learning Design and Technology

    – Online; exclusive 10% scholarship

  • Graduate Certificate in Learning Design and Technology

    – Online; exclusive 10% scholarship

  • Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning

    – Online; exclusive 10% scholarship

  • EdS in School Psychology

    – Dallas-based hybrid program with a competitive tuition rate

For select online programs, Killeen ISD employees may also be eligible for a waived application fee and the opportunity to receive credit for qualifying professional experience through Baylor’s prior learning assessment process.

Employees can also explore competitive scholarship opportunities for Baylor’s residential graduate programs, including programs in curriculum and instruction, teaching, educational psychology, school psychology, higher education and student affairs, and sport management.
