Important Update for the New School Year
Dear Hay Branch Elementary Families,
Killeen ISD would like to share an important update regarding campus leadership for the upcoming school year. We are pleased to announce that Crystal Smith will serve as the next principal of Hay Branch Elementary.
Ms. Smith has been part of Killeen ISD since 2012. She has served as an instructional aide, teacher, instructional coach, campus instructional specialist, and assistant principal at Meadows Elementary. She brings a strong understanding of both classroom instruction and campus leadership.
She is known for building strong relationships with students and staff while maintaining a clear focus on student success. That steady approach will support both learning and campus culture at Hay Branch.
Ms. Smith will begin working with staff in the coming weeks as the district prepares for a smooth transition into the 2026–2027 school year.
Thank you for your continued support of Hay Branch Elementary and our students.
Sincerely,
Killeen ISD
