Week 5 Roadrunner Revue is Here!
Progress reports are out, tutorials are open for registration, and LIFT begins this week to help students address missing work while it is still eligible for credit.
This week’s Revue also includes:

Important reminders about late work, redos, attendance, and upcoming testing
Tutorial space is limited and first come, first served, so we encourage families to make a plan now. Together, we can help our Roadrunners build the habits and skills they need to thrive.

During the evening, families can meet teachers, see student work, learn about classroom expectations and campus supports, visit family booths, take a family photo, and more.
❤️ Grandparents are especially invited! We want to recognize the important role grandparents play in the lives of our students and throughout the JDA community.
Also at 5:00 p.m. in the cafeteria: PTO Interest Meeting + Title I Parent Meeting.
📱 Before you come: Student schedules will not be printed on campus. Please bring a copy or have the schedule ready in HAC. Students are welcome to attend and help show their families around!

🎳 Strike up some success this fall! Killeen ISD Special Olympics Bowling is gearing up for the 2026 season. Practices begin Monday, Sept. 14, at Killeen Bowlerama and are held each Monday from 5-6 p.m. through the season.
The team will compete at the Special Olympics Bowling Meet on Friday, Nov. 13, in Waco.

As we prepare for dismissal:
• All parent pickup is in the parent loop at the SOUTH side of the building.
• There is no park-and-pickup option.
• Please do not enter the student waiting area.
• Stay in the center pickup lane and pull all the way forward.
• Even if you see your child farther back, continue forward—your student will come to you.
• Once your student is in the vehicle, use the left lane to exit.
🚌 Bus families: Please download the SMART Tag Parent App using the email connected to your student's registration. You can track boarding, the bus's GPS location, and drop-off. We strongly recommend turning on notifications and set preferences.

What a GREAT first day! Thank you for your patience, grace, and flexibility as we worked through the normal first-day kinks. We are so proud of our Roadrunners and grateful for your partnership!
A few reminders for tomorrow:
Student IDs: All students will receive their JDA ID during 2nd period.
Parent Pickup: Pickup is in the back of the school. Please stay in the middle lane, pull all the way forward, and use the left lane to exit once your child is in the vehicle. We do not have a park-and-pick-up option. Please remind students to actively look for your vehicle, and for safety, parents should not enter the student waiting area.
Bus Riders: Please download the SMART Tag Parent App to track your student's bus in real time. We learned today that drivers must select an additional option to see students listed as “inactive,” which caused most of the bus issues. Transportation is aware and tracking the concern.
We are currently tracking one bus with 22 JDA students still en route home. They have encountered high school dismissal traffic, so we expect them home soon. The SMART Tag app will provide the most current location.
Please remind students to look for their four-digit route number when finding their bus.
Boys & Girls Club: Free for all JDA students with registration, open until 6:30 p.m., with snacks provided. Pickup is at Door 27 near the courtyard gates.
