KISD Career Center is pairing up Red Ribbon Week along with International Animation Day!
The 2025 National Red Ribbon Week theme is Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free. Red Ribbon Week honors DEA Special Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, who was killed while trying to stop drug trafficking in the U.S. in 1985. Every year, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and its agents champion the campaign, which takes place the last week of October, to promote drug-free living.
This week during the announcements, we will highlight the importance of living a drug-free life by focusing on the prevention of underage drinking, the effects of tobacco usage, the misuse of prescription drugs and all illegal drugs. All students and staff are encouraged to participate in the Spirit days.
