Stepping into the future, the Killeen Early College High School Class of 2026 has plenty to celebrate. 🎓
This year’s graduating class included 202 students, with 131 earning their associate degree alongside their high school diploma. Together, the class earned more than $7.3 million in scholarships.

Five more commencements are upcoming this week in Killeen Independent School District. Harker Heights (9 a.m.), Killeen High (2 p.m.) and Shoemaker (7 p.m.) are scheduled for Friday, May 29, with Chaparral (2 p.m.) and Ellison (7 p.m.) set for Saturday, May 30, at Cadence Bank Center.

Reeces Creek Elementary School fifth-graders enjoyed an extravaganza Wednesday featuring the 1st Cavalry Division Band, a motivational speaker inspiring them to enjoy middle school and a day-before-the-last-day-of-school dance. Have a great summer!

Congratulations to the Harker Heights High School Junior ROTC Knights Archery team, which competed in the first-ever All-Service JROTC National Archery Championship Tournament. The Knights finished 10th overall in Bullseye competition and 13th overall for 3D competition among 64 invited teams. You did us proud Knights Archery!

Free summer meals are available for all kids and teens 18 and younger from June 1–July 24 at locations across Killeen! ☀️🍎

No registration. No cost. Just good food.

Meal service will not be available June 19 or June 29–July 3 due to district closures.
