Six Killeen ISD schools have made the Texas Honor Roll. Meadows, Clear Creek, Skipcha, Maude Moore Wood and Richard E. Cavazos elementary schools, along with Early College High School, earned the recognition from the Educational Results Partnership in connection with the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence and Texas Business Leadership Council.
The recognized schools, which represent the highest performing schools in Texas, must outperform similar socioeconomic and demographic schools in math and English, as evaluated through state assessments.
“This recognition reflects the daily work happening in these classrooms and on these campuses,” Superintendent Dr. King Davis said. “Our teachers and leaders are focused on student success, and it shows. I’m proud of the way they keep doing what’s best for kids.”
