Yesterday our Coyotes participated in HEB’s Big Read Challenge for 2026. From 10:00-10:30 all of our coyotes stopped what we were doing and took a moment to read a book! Here are a few pictures from it! #HEBBIGREAD

Thanks to a trunk from the Texas Wildlife Association our Coyotes got to explore Bats hands on in the library this week! They learned why bats are important to our ecosystem, and about non-fiction text features!

Our classes competed to see who could have the highest attendance in the month of September. We had a tie between Mrs. Holcomb and Mrs. Sayer’s 5th grade classes. They were rewarded with an ice cream party today! Which class will have the highest attendance in October?!

Today we held two ceremonies to dedicate our brand new Buddy Bench thanks to a generous donation by the Stars and Stripes Exchange Club! The Buddy Bench is part of our on going No Place For Hate commitment. Students learned how to use the bench and what to do if they see a student sitting on the bench!

Check out our Guys with Ties group! Ran by one of our counselors, Mrs. Calvert and our Community in Schools Coordinator Mr. R. These gentlemen greet kids in the morning, pick up trash around the campus to keep our school looking good, and help in classrooms! We are so proud of all of these young men!
