He works hard at building positive relationships with his peers and teachers - giving fist bumps, making sure to say good morning/afternoon, and intentionally connecting with everyone he meets. He makes our school a better place to be.
His AVID teacher, Kimberly Moorman said, "Matthias is a kid who makes everybody feel like somebody. He makes everyone feel included and maintains a positive attitude. He pushes himself to be better each day. He has been a vital part of the AVID program at Union Grove and truly exemplifies what it means to be an AVID student. I am very proud of him!"

The ladies displayed great heart, hustle, and pride throughout the match. The Grizzlies had many passes, sets, and spikes. There were also some great tips at the net. Top server of the match was Hannah Bice with 10 points. Serena Brooks scored nine. Alexis Guevara added five. Amari Betts-Navarro, Alyssa Montufar, and Nola Robinson scored three apiece. Lyrrick Flowers served two and Isabella Mobley and Railyn Coquemar made one point each. Defensive players of the game were Amaya Rivera-Melendez, Jolivia Rodgers, and Elizabeth Vandenburg.
Coach Wilson is proud of the ladies and their continued hard work during this season. Keep it up!!
