Philosophy of Education: Every student deserves meaningful learning opportunities to extend their knowledge, creativity, and strengths. I believe we need to teach students to thrive in our diverse world and, equally so, be provided with a safe and welcoming classroom community. Through these three methods of teaching in my classroom, I hope to provide a space where my students can grow: Cooperative learning, in which students with mixed abilities can work together to learn from one another as well as increase their communication and critical thinking skills. As technology usage is increasing, it is important our students interact with technology as this is an active way to get students engaged. To account for all unique abilities in the classroom, differentiation in teaching, activities and assignments are to be paired with students individual learning needs.
