Mission:
The Killeen Independent School District Fine Arts Department shall empower all students with the knowledge and skills essential to engage learning though meaningful artistic experiences. We aim to produce well-rounded, dynamic students who can express themselves creatively and seek life-long enjoyment and fulfillment through the arts.
The department offers a comprehensive fine arts program that includes award-winning band, choir, orchestra, guitar, theater arts, visual arts, and dance programs throughout our secondary campuses. All elementary students are offered instruction in general music taught by certified music specialists.
Students in dance, theater, music, and the visual arts are given the opportunity to participate in district to state-level competitions and University Interscholastic League (UIL) activities.
