I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Bilingual Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I continued my education and earned a Master of Arts degree in Bicultural-Bilingual Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I then decided to further my education in the area of educational leadership at Lamar University, earning my Principal Certification.

Experience
I have over 20 years of experience as an educator in Texas. My educational career started in 1996 as a Kinder Bilingual Teacher at South San Antonio ISD. In 2002, I joined Northside ISD as a Language Support Teacher. In 2008, our family was stationed at Ft Bliss, Texas. While living in El Paso, I worked for Ysleta ISD as a School-wide Coordinator at Robert F. Kennedy Pre-Kinder Center. In 2012, the Army brought us to Washington, PA, where I had the opportunity to work at Washington and Jefferson College at Washington, PA as an adjunct Spanish Professor. Two years later, my family and I came to the Great Place, where I joined the Killeen ISD family. I served as an ESL teacher at Pershing Park Elementary for four years. I then had the opportunity to work as a Campus Instructional Specialist at Fowler Elementary. I am proud to say I am currently working as an Assistant Principal at Trimmier Elementary.
Personal
I have been married to my best friend. We have two boys who attend School in Harker Heights and play for the orchestra. My oldest son plays the violin and my younger son plays the viola. We also have a Yorkie named Oscar who has traveled with us all over the United States. We are proud to be a military family, and we absolutely love the opportunities the military has given us.
