Ms. Shelley Juarez

Dear Students & Parents,

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a secondary counselor at Killeen High School, serving students with the last names K – O. My background includes 8 years as a special education teacher and 11 years as a high school counselor. I graduated from Killeen High in 1992, so I am a Roo for life! I earned my bachelor's degree at Texas A&M University, College Station, in 1998 and my master's degree from Texas A&M University, Central Texas, in 2009.

I have a heart for educating and preparing students to be successful with their post-secondary goals whether that be college, career, or military. I play a significant role in assisting students with finding their path in life, and I enjoy watching our students grow and mature as they work through some of the most challenging years of their life. Just as babies do not all learn to walk and talk at the same age, teenagers do not all find themselves or choose their destiny by the time they graduate from high school. I like to think that I simply plant the seeds to help them develop into successful and prosperous adults. Sometimes it takes a village to help raise our children. I make it my goal to develop a healthy rapport with each of my students and hopefully their parents, as well.
