Mrs. Charity Staples

Greetings Roo Family,

I am Charity Staples, the Social and Emotional Learning Specialist (formerly known as the At-Risk Counselor) at Killeen High School. This is my 1st year in Education. However, I have served in the field of social services for over 10 years and have developed a passion for community involvement, helping others and providing support to children and their families. 

I have lived in Killeen, Texas for all of my life. I attended Hay Branch, Brookhaven, Rancier and Killeen Ninth Grade Center. I graduated from Killeen High School in 2003. While there, I danced as Killeen Kangarette. I am excited about returning to my alma mater, where it all began! Once a Roo, Always a Roo!

I graduated from Texas A&M University-Central Texas in 2015 with a bachelor’s in social work and from Texas Stare University in 2017 with a master’s in social work. I became a licensed social worker in 2022.   
 
I am so honored to have the opportunity to work with the students, parents, and staff of KHS. I am here to support you. Please do not hesitate to reach out. Go Roos!
