Mrs. Tabatha Lemacks

Tabatha Lemacks is currently a fifth-grade math and science teacher at Meadows Elementary School located on Fort Hood, Texas. Lemacks has a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in Elementary Education Interdisciplinary Studies where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received her Alternative Certification from the MyWay program through Mary Hardin Baylor University.  She has been an educator in the Killeen Independent School District for 28 years, where 26 of those years were at Meadows Elementary School. While working as an educator, Lemacks founded and currently runs Spotlight Dance Company for the past 15 years with over 200 students enrolled. Her studio has been awarded Best Dance Studio for the past 4 years and she has received many accolades for being a positive role model for her students and within her community. Lemacks unites both of her passions and her affiliation with the schools in the district by providing camps, choreography, and performances to recognize academic achievements and STAAR pep rallies for multiple KISD campuses. She has been a guest speaker for many campuses’ Careers Days within the district. Lemacks believes that to teach the whole child, you must know the whole child and to do this, positive relationships must be established with an open mind and an open heart. Having structure and consistency allows for her lessons to be engaging and fun as students can collaborate and achieve their learning goals and potential, while unlocking a newfound love for the subjects. Lemacks continues today with her love of education, her passion for learning, and her limitless imagination in finding new ways to help her students believe in themselves while she continues to strive and grow as an educator.
