Asher Jones Reserve Breed Champion-Duroc & Reserve Breed Champion-Hampshire & Finalist Showmanship Intermediate DivisionKilleen ISD FFA kicked off the 2025 Bell County Youth Fair (BCYF) this past weekend, launching an exciting showcase of talent, hard work, and dedication. FFA members from across the district have been preparing since the beginning of the school year, presenting projects in livestock, family and consumer sciences, and agricultural mechanics. The fair serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their skills and commitment to agricultural education.Ayden Rose 1st Place

The weekend began with strong competition in the breeding pig, heifer, and steer shows, featuring participants from various 4-H clubs and FFA chapters. Both teams and individuals competed, with teams consisting of three to four members and rankings determined by the top three scores. The contest featured junior (8th grade and below) and senior (9th-12th grade) divisions. Each class provided competitors with eight minutes to present and showcase their projects.

AG teacher and advisor, Anastasia Winters shared, "Our FFA students have put in countless hours of hard work, and it's incredible to see their efforts pay off. Watching them grow in confidence and skill through these competitions is truly inspiring."

For senior Sage Sanchez, this year's fair holds a special meaning, "This year, I’ve focused on giving 110%—not just in big tasks, but in the small details, too. Since it’s my last year, I want to leave knowing I gave it my all. It’s not just about winning; it’s about learning, growing, and finishing strong with no regrets."

With several more days of competition ahead, Killeen ISD FFA students are set to continue their impressive performances.
