At-Risk Counselor - Mrs. Morris

In 2010, I was awarded the KISD Guidance Services Leadership Achievement Award. I began my counseling career with Central Texas College as a guidance counselor helping guide post-secondary students in academic achievement, personal/social development, and career choices. I was an administrator for three years before I returned to my passion which consists of helping all students by providing them with a foundation to become productive and well-adjusted young adults.

When I am away from school, I enjoy reading and love cooking while spending quality time with family and friends. The true reward of this profession does not come from the paycheck, but from the internal gratification that results from making a positive difference in someone’s life. Not only do I strive to help students, but I also plan to continue to be a part of “supportive leadership” for staff. I model good people skills and am motivated to support a staff working together to create an appropriate school culture. I am fully committed to helping all students reach their academic, social, and emotional potential. At-Risk Counseling can provide teachers, parents, and students with assistance and resources to help them. The goal is to help students resolve problems which may potentially interfere with the ability to enjoy the learning process. I look forward to having an awesome school year.
