Principal - Dr. Lawrason

Grizzlies, it is my pleasure to be your principal at Union Grove Middle School.  I want to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year.  We look forward to another wonderful year at Union Grove. 

I was raised in Lincoln, NE, but have been in Killeen for over 29 years and have been with KISD for 27 of those years.   During my time as an educator, I have been afforded the opportunity to work as a classroom teacher, special education coordinator, assistant principal, curriculum director, the Director for Special Education, and now as the principal of the best middle school.  I am a true believer in lifelong learning.  I have followed that belief myself and share that belief with students, parents, and educators I come into contact with.  Students should be challenged in the classroom on a daily basis to ensure they are learning information that will enable them to be successful and prosperous members of society. With society continuously changing, we must change to meet the needs of our students.

At Union Grove Middle School we believe in strong relationships with all stakeholders in the educational process.  We believe all children can learn and are given the opportunity to do so.  We look forward to continuing our partnership with the community, adopt-a-school unit, parents, and especially our students.  We look forward to learning together.
