Killeen ISD is committed to serving the unique needs of all students through an array of learning opportunities. Identified gifted and talented students receive differentiated instruction in English, mathematics, science, and social studies. At the middle and high schools, students may enroll in a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) and pre-Advanced Placement (preAP). High school students can earn college credit hours via dual credit and articulated courses offered through partnerships with Central Texas College and the Texas Bioscience Institute or with a successful score on an Advanced Placement exam. Killeen ISD also participates in the International Baccalaureate Programme which helps students to develop the intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills needed to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
