It's time to select YOUR benefits for 2024! Open enrollment for the 2024 calendar year opened October 1 through the Employee Service Center. Even if you do not elect a KISD plan there are plenty of great benefits available to you and your family. Please check your inbox for our KISD Open Enrollment email for more information.
The deadline to select benefits is Tuesday, October 31, 2023.Walk in assistance is available daily from 2:30-5:00 in the Auxiliary HR Training Room (Portable #1). Every Tuesday (except 10/24) there will be a representative from BCBS available to answer plan questions.

How do I use my Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can be used to cover eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent day care expenses throughout the year. When do my benefits begin?
As a Killeen ISD new hire, your benefits begin the first of the month following your hire date. All questions regarding benefit start dates can be answered by the Employee Benefits Office.

When am I able to make changes to my benefits?
Employees are able to make changes to their benefit elections during Open Enrollment.This is the only time that employees are eligible to make their benefit elections outside of a Qualifying Event.

What is considered a “Qualifying Event”?
A Qualifying Event is an event that makes a change to your health care status. Some examples are marriage, divorce, or loss of coverage. All qualifying events must be completed within 30 calendar days of the event and are specific to the event. If you have questions about whether this applies to your event, please contact the Employee Benefits Office.
