Additional COVID-19 Leave for KISD Employees

09/15/21 - The Board of Trustees approved a resolution recommended by Dr. Craft for KISD Employees who receive a PCR COVID-19 positive test result to receive 5 additional local days if they meet the qualifications outlined in the application.

The Board finds that a public purpose is served and a benefit to Killeen ISD exists to provide up to five additional days of paid leave to employees with a lab-confirmed positive test for COVID-19 who need to quarantine in accordance with guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of State Health Services.

The additional leave only applies to current employees as of the 14th day of September 2021 and may be retroactively applied from the qualifying employee’s first assigned contract day for the 2021-2022 duty calendar as of July 1, 2021.
