Killeen ISD Hires New CFO – Kallen Vaden of Temple ISD

Killeen ISD is excited to introduce new Chief Financial Officer, Mrs. Kallen Vaden, who is moving over from the same position at Temple ISD.
 
Mrs. Vaden is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. She holds a Registered Texas School Business Administrator certification with the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO).

Mrs. Vaden began at Temple ISD in the accounts payable department. She was promoted to Chief Accountant and then to Executive Director of Business Services, where she served 11 years. In 2009, Mrs. Vaden became the district's Chief Financial Officer, where she served ever since. She oversaw the district's annual independent audit, budget adoption, financial reporting, PEIMS finance submissions, insurance and tax increment reinvestment zone and served as investment officer.
 
Superintendent Dr. John Craft said, "We are excited to welcome Mrs. Vaden to the KISD team as she brings a wealth of knowledge in the school finance Sector. Her expertise will prove invaluable as the District continues to excel in the management of district resources."
 
Mrs. Vaden and her husband, Marty, have two daughters, Jessica age 20, and Allison age 16. 
 
She will begin her duties in KISD on August 22, 2022.
 
Mrs. Vaden is filling the position that Megan Bradley held from 2007 until last April when she was promoted to KISD Deputy Superintendent.
