KISD IN-DISTRICT TRANSFER OPTIONS
OPTION 1 - Child Care/Supervision Transfers
Child Care/Supervision transfers
are available for children in Pre-K through 8th
grade on a space available basis. This transfer may be requested if a family member, another private individual, or child-care center is to care for and supervise the child before/after school each day. Such a transfer may be granted to a school that is located in the attendance zone that contains the child care provider.
- To receive a Child Care/Supervision transfer, appropriate documentation must be submitted for processing. This documentation must be completed and uploaded to the transfer application before it is submitted. The forms will need to be printed, signed by the childcare provider and will have to be scanned or a photo can be taken and uploaded to the application.

OPTION 2 - Senior Option Transfers
Senior Option transfers are available to high school senior students whose circumstances may have changed due to a change in residence or another factor. These students may apply to remain at the campus where they completed their junior year.
OPTION 3 - Military Post Transfers
Military Post transfers are available to all military personnel and federally connected personnel who work on Fort Hood. Pre-K through 8th-grade transfers are available for students who reside off post to transfer to any school located within Fort Hood on a space available basis.
- To receive a Military Post transfer, appropriate documentation must be submitted for processing. This documentation must be completed and uploaded to the transfer application before it is submitted. The forms will need to be printed, signed by a supervisor and will have to be scanned or a photo can be taken and uploaded to the application.

OPTION 4 - Special Consideration Transfers
Special Consideration transfers may be requested for extenuating circumstances or hardships. In addition, special consideration transfers may be requested for students who want to attend a campus outside their attendance zone in order to participate in “unique courses.”
OPTION 5 - Employee Transfers
Employee transfers are available for the child of a District employee to the campus the employee chooses. However, consideration of the transfer shall be made on a space-available basis. An employee is defined as a regularly employed person who works at least 30 hours a week during the school year.
