Killeen ISD has named Dr. Terri D. Osborne its new deputy superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and School Leadership.
The Board of Trustees approved Osborne’s appointment at a meeting Tuesday morning. She will begin work in the district Sept. 30.
“Dr. Osborne has a passion for student learning coupled with a wealth of school leadership experience and a background in various sized districts,” Superintendent Dr. Jo Ann Fey said. “She is poised to lead our Killeen ISD team of educators to accomplish our board-adopted priorities surrounding student success.”
Osborne has held administrative posts in Houston-area school systems since 2018. She was a high school principal and special projects coordinator in Humble ISD. Most recently, she was assistant superintendent of secondary schools in Aldine ISD since 2023.
Osborne also served as principal of Manor Early College in the Austin area from 2016 to 2018.
Her organizational leadership accomplishments are numerous, and her teaching and campus leadership experience goes back to 2008 and includes experience in schools in Mesquite, Germany, Irving and Garland.
She was Secondary Principal of the Year in Humble ISD in 2022 and Teacher of the Year in Mesquite ISD in 2010.
Osborne holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech, and two master’s degrees and a doctorate from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
“I am excited to be part of the rich and diverse communities that make Killeen ISD so special, and I’m inspired by the bold vision and strategic priorities that will drive positive outcomes for all students,” Osborne said. “I look forward to building strong relationships at every level and contributing to the foundation of excellence that already exists.”
