Killeen ISD employees will see an increase in their pay for the 2024-2025 school year, thanks to the compensation plan approved by the Board of Trustees at its regular meeting on Tuesday.
The compensation plan includes an average 4% increase for all non-exempt staff including paraprofessionals and auxiliary staff such as custodians, bus drivers and school nutrition staff. The new starting salary for a beginning teacher will be $58,000. All other professional staff will receive a 3% increase.
“We appreciate the Board of Trustees for their thoughtful discussion and approval of this compensation package,” Jo Ann Fey, superintendent of schools, said. “Our budget was tight this year, but our trustees found a way to reinforce that we value our hardworking, dedicated and talented staff.”
