Attention graduating seniors, parents, and high school counselors:
The Killeen ISD Board of Trustees has announced a total of $93,000, consisting of 24 individual opportunities, to be awarded to graduating seniors looking for assistance for higher education upon graduation.
The deadline to apply is no later than Friday, March 31, 2023* to your scholarship counselor. *Please note: some campuses may require an earlier submission date.

Kliewer Family Leadership Award:
The Kliewer Family Leadership Award is a higher education award opportunity offered by the Killeen ISD Education Foundation and the William and Mary Kliewer family.
This opportunity is only available to students ranked within the top ten of their class and must be a graduating high school senior in the Killeen Independent School District.
Applicants should demonstrate leadership ability through organizational leadership, community involvement, and/or team sports. Applicants must show evidence of personal character, integrity and commitment to personal growth.
The deadline to apply is no later than Friday, April 28, 2023.

Professional Learning Grant: Deadline April 3, 2023
Teachers- have you found a great conference you would like to attend?
Principals- is there a dynamic speaker you would like to present at an upcoming Professional Development day?
Apply for the Education Foundation Professional Learning Grant and the Foundation could FUND the cost of the conference or bring in a speaker! Funding is available for expenses including: transportation, meals, registration, lodging, etc.

Before you begin your professional learning grant application, review the Grant Writing Workshop and KISD Administrative Travel Procedures (Form V-B, Form V-C, Purchasing Manual and Meal Reimbursement Rates Memo) in our Quick Links section to the right.

Make Your Application a Success:
The online grant application requires users to upload a complete Travel Budget Form (either the Employee Travel or Consultant/Speaker budget form) and upload a complete Signature Page. Complete and upload these forms prior to submitting your online application. A physical copy of your complete Signature Page must be sent to the Education Foundation office, attn: Joyce Hodson.

Classroom Engagement Grants
Classroom Engagement Grants
In December 2022 The Killeen ISD Education Foundation delivered 26 grants to teachers at 17 schools to fund exciting classroom learning projects. The grants to KISD teachers totaled $95,710.
A $10,000 grant will support KISD's Elementary Science Olympiad for 276 participating students from 23 schools. A $9,996 grant funds the annual Elementary Battle of the Books that includes 125 students from 24 elementary schools.

Employee Contribution Campaign Report
This year, Killeen ISD employees have donated over $147K during the annual Employee Contribution Campaign. These donations will fund campus engagement grants and professional development grants. Campuses also have the opportunity to receive rebates to use for special projects at their schools.
We accomplished our 2022-2023 goals to:
- Receive minimum $110,000 campaign funds
- Involve minimum 36% of employees to participate (2,200 employees)
