On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the Killeen ISD Board of Trustees approved the administration’s rezoning proposal related to the opening of the new Dr. Jimmie Don Aycock Middle School and to accommodate growth at Nolanville Elementary School. Documents detailing the approved rezoning plan for the 2024-2025 school year is available on www.killeenisd.org/rezoning.
All transfer and Grandfathering request forms will be available on the KISD website beginning February 27, 2024, until April 9, 2024, online at www.killeenisd.org/transfers.
The opening of Dr. Jimmie Don Aycock Middle School in August 2024 will require rezoning to build an attendance zone for the new school. Additionally, growth in the eastern portion of the district around Nolanville Elementary School will require rezoning to create capacity within the Nolanville Elementary School building.
Public Hearing meeting dates were held for families that may be affected by rezoning changes as listed in the parent letters linked below. Feedback from these meetings will be gathered and analyzed prior to a recommendation being presented to the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, for their consideration.
Once the Board of Trustees has approved the new zones, the affected students will be informed and documentation will be added to this webpage in the following days.
