Brittany Anderson
Hi Bobcats!
My name is Brittany Anderson. I am super excited to join Chaparral High School as a Counselor! I can't wait to get to know everyone and provide as much support as possible. I love working as a school counselor, and I can't wait to get started. My goal is to empower students, and help them advocate for themselves, as well as support and assist in anything I can. I will be responsible for students with last names that start with T-Z, but I will provide support to any student that needs.
My journey to Chaparral started with my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Western Oregon University. After many years of working with teenagers. I found my love and gratitude for teens, and my passion to help through working with teens in foster care. After of few years doing that, I decided to go back and get my Master's Degree in School Counseling from Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon.
I was born and raised on the Oregon Coast. I grew up in a very small town with just one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school. It was great knowing everyone in town and all the kids I went to school with, but I can't wait to be a part of a bigger community and work.
I just moved to Killeen in October '24, and I love it here. I have 2 kids. I have a 6-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl. I also have 2 dogs (Herc and Khaki) and 2 cats (Mystery and Louis)! I love to experience new things, I am an avid learner, and I can get lost in a book for hours.
Fun fact about me: I love bowling and I have bowled a 300- a perfect game!
I look forward to working in this community and this school.
